Weddings, Weddings, Weddings
It’s been a busy couple of weeks … Started off with a trip to Aberdeen for Sue and Charlotte on behalf of Freak Music, to play for a wedding ceremony. We were asked to play modern music so we used concert harp which filled the venue with sound. Many brides worry about the volume of these instruments for larger weddings. Flute and Harp can usually provide enough volume for a group of about 150 people before needing further amplification.
Sue had a lovely time playing with the Allestri Ensemble for a wedding and drinks reception at Carberry Tower, East Lothian. It’s always lovely to work with Allestri, who are normally a string quartet, but for variety flute adds a different dynamic to a traditional quartet taking on the role of Violin 1 … We played some fabulous arrangements of Beyoncé and Coldplay.
For further information – we have examples of wedding packages on our website, although we like to tailor things for each couple, to help make their day exactly what they want. Our website also contains some short sound bites of the different styles of music we play. Please get in touch if you want to find out more or discuss your special day.
