Sunny wedding in Perthshire
We recently played at Fingask Castle, just north of Perth where we provided music for ceremony and drinks on a very sunny and warm day. After playing while the bride and groom signed the marriage schedule, we set up in the courtyard to play during drinks in beautiful weather … A lovely sunny day at the office!
Sunglasses were on (forgot the sun cream, yes hazard of playing outdoors so had to move a couple times!) and we played a selection of traditional and celtic tunes. As we were moving around the castle a bit we used the clarsach. The clarsach is smaller than a pedal (concert) harp so is easier to lift and move around a venue and up and down castle stair cases. The range of music in the clarsach is slightly smaller than the concert harp but it is well suited to classical, Scottish and traditional music. It is a lovely option if you are considering a smaller more intimate wedding ceremony.
Onto Britiannia next…..
For further information – we have examples of wedding packages on our website, although we like to tailor things for each couple, to help make their day exactly what they want. Our website also contains some short sound bites of the different styles of music we play. Please get in touch if you want to find out more or discuss your special day.
