Quimantu - Latin American and World Music
Quimantu features a dynamic repertoire of songs and music drawn from
the diverse rhythms, styles and instruments of Latin America, Europe and beyond
that are at the heart of the spirit of the group. Drawing on the talents of some
of the UK’s finest performers, Quimantu promises a celebration of friendship,
life and diversity with a "real" world of music on your street, as they
brilliantly and effortlessly bring together a diversity of cultures that blazes
with skilful technique, energy, passion, poetry and rhythm.

 | Standard requirements
All SEMS artists should be provided with good overhead lighting (or
other suitable lighting set-up for the concert), and adequate heating in
changing rooms and performance area from the beginning of the rehearsal. |
 | Technical Requirements
All SEMS artists should be provided with good overhead lighting (or
other suitable lighting set-up). Quimantu can use a venue's PA or
provide their own (note different fees above) - stage layout and sound
equipment requirements are given in the following two Word documents:

 | Meals A light meal
and hot drinks for the artists should normally be provided by the
promoter.
Please provide water and some glasses in the dressing room and on the stage.
Please provide sandwiches (including vegetarian option) and fruit -
leave in green room/backstage for during/after the performance. If a
cooked meal is provided we would prefer that after the performance.
Coca-Cola, orange juice, and 2 bottles of red wine are also requested. |
 | Travel/Accomodation If accommodation is provided we would prefer not to use home stays.
Single rooms should be provided unless it is completely unavoidable and
other arrangements are agreed in advance. The group travels
in three cars, and will need parking for their vehicles, plus one by train,
who may need picking up from the station. A clear map or directions to the venue must be provided,
including full address and postcode, and should arrive no
later than two weeks before the event. The map is most convenient if sent by
e-mail - please send it to SEMS and we will
forward it. |
