IntroductionSouth East Music Schemes is here specifically to help you by offering the highest quality of artists and a range of varied programmes at lower than normal artistic costs. Each year, we select the best of the region’s talented musicians offering unusual, interesting and innovative programmes and we offer them to promoters, venues and festivals in the region using economies of scale, frequency and logistics to lower the fee. South East Music Schemes has been offering its artists across the South East for twelve years with great success, and now with changes to its structure is able to extend the work into a wider area. If you would like to receive regular newsletters and offers from us and particularly if you are new to our work or the region, please contact us and we will add you to our database so that you can benefit from the artists and monies available.
Helping promotersIt's a mistake to believe that this is just an offer for concert promoters, clubs and venues - many of our selected artists are experienced in workshop and educational work too. So how about Onyx Brass doing a workshop with your choir, the Aurora Ensemble coaching your orchestral wind section , Quimantu doing something different for Christmas, or the Tony Woods Project leading your social evening? As well as a good mixture of the best on offer, we are specifically seeking artists who will be able to work with choirs, orchestras and other amateur performers, as well as the more usual concert format. Aurora Ensemble and Onyx Brass are experienced in working with choirs, and all four groups have had long and successful educational careers, and can offer workshops, introductory sessions, or longer projects. All of the artists and groups in the 2007 portfolio have flexible formats and (whilst mindful of the cost implications) all are keen to work in larger formats. For instance, the Aurora Ensemble would love to do the Mozart Divertimento for 13 wind instruments (the Grand Partita), and the Tony Woods Project would like to add a brass section to their quintet... any offers? A summary of the artists currently on offer to promoters is available on the Artist Profiles page. There is no deadline for promoter bookings, but as there are limited time constraints on the cheaper engagements with each artist the sooner you book the better. When you're ready, go to the Book an Artist page for details about how to book.
