A City Wedding
After last week’s adventure to the Highlands for our country estate wedding … We stayed local yesterday providing music for a beautiful city wedding ceremony in the stunning St Patrick’s Church, on the Cowgate, Edinburgh. The Bride and Groom chose a selection of traditional tunes so we used the Scottish clarsach on this occasion, along with flute.
We often use the clarsach, which is smaller than concert harp, for outside venues or castles with winding staircases, where access is difficult. It does depend on music choices as well though. Traditional, and some classical pieces work well with flute and clarsach but up to the minute pop songs need the concert harp in action with flute!
From one city wedding to another… Next week we are going west!!
