Full Biography

Founded in 1999, this is a multi-ethnic group of women who offer percussion-based cross-cultural music to a wide range of audiences. Alongside original compositions, they manage to fuse the dynamism of traditional West African drum patterns, and Afro-Cuban folkloric grooves, with the subtleties of a cappella singing.

Cascada present music that is steeped in tradition, but in an original style all of their own. They compose material drawing on the diverse strengths and background of each individual, producing a unique fusion that will uplift and engage you.

Cascada also regularly provide workshops for schools and community projects in and around London.

Cascada were Appointed Artists to South East Music Schemes 2004-2006.
